Before and After School Teacher

  • Provide guidance, safety and care for school age students at specific schools for before/after school program as scheduled and able to work flexible hours.
  • Assist in the development of curriculum, program development and facilitation of the school age program.
  • Maintain positive relationships with children, parents and other staff members.

 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have completed High School or it's equivalency as determined by the DPI.
  • Must have completed Introduction to the Child Care Professional (ECI) and Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher (ECII) classes or hold a DPI teaching license from the State of Wisconsin.
  • Meet all State Licensing guidelines as stated in HFS46 Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Center.
  • Possess and demonstrate ability to interact with children on an on-going basis at the child's level.
  • Most possess current child/adult CPR with AED, or complete within 6 months of hire.

This is a school year position.

Wages: 8.25/hour with no experience, up to $9.00 per hour with experience and qualifications.

There are no benefits with this position.

Charter School Advisor

POSITION OPENING: Charter School Advisor Idea Charter School is a student-driven, project-based community serving 80+ students in grades 6-12. The successful candidate will be a generalist capable of supporting students in meaningful research projects and must be willing to think beyond a time-based, course-centered paradigm. The primary tasks of an Idea Charter Advisor include overseeing the educational paths of 15-18 multi-age students, in addition to sharing administrative, guidance, maintenance, and extra-curricular duties.

CERTIFICATION: • Certified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as a Broadfield Social Studies (701) or Science teacher (601), grades 6-12.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the following,

• Project-based learning.

• Team-teaching for grades 6-12.

• Flexible scheduling

• Non-traditional, student-centered model

• Guiding students as advisor/generalist

• Teaching 21st Century Skills including communication, goal setting, time management, and research

• Individualized instruction

RESPONSIBILTIES OF ADVISOR INCLUDE: • Planning and leading advisory (activities include goal setting, tracking progress, and some school-wide curriculum focused on building process skills/school culture, and special events).

• Working with another advisor at least two afternoons/week to complete proposals/assessments with students.

• Creating and leading seminars

• Helping to lead all-school meetings/activities.

• Meeting with individual students on a weekly basis.

• Managing students’ Personalized Learning Plans, goals, and progress towards meeting those goals on a weekly, 6-week, and year-long basis.

• Serving on school governance board. • Managing student cross-enrollment in various curricular options.

PREFERRED WILLINGNESS TO PARTICIPATE IN: • Additional evening obligations. • Weekly staff meetings before school. • 10-20 days of summer planning work. Note: these days are paid at hourly rate.

Organizes serving lines to accommodate students quickly and efficiently. · Maintains high standards of production, sanitation and safety at all times. · Operates POS computer during meal service. · Works effectively with school personnel, subordinates, students, parents and community groups.

QUALIFICATIONS: · Must be able to establish and maintain effective working and public relationships. · Must practice proper sanitary techniques at all times.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 3.75 hours per day, 9:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., five (5) days per week, school year position.

STARTING WAGE: $10.15 per hour

Food service openings

We will have several Food Service openings starting with the 2012-13 school year. Please complete a support staff application and submit to the DC Everest Human Resources department.

If you have completed a Support Staff application within the last 6 months, you do not need to fill out an application, please send a letter of interest to the Human Resources office.

 

These positions will range in hours from 2 hours to 4 or more hours per day. These are school year positions only.

 

Starting pay is $10.15 per hour.
